Greening the Islands says “holà!” with upcoming event to be held in Canary Islands

22 set 2016
The Canary Islands have been early adopters of renewable technologies for years and therefore make a fitting setting for the third edition of the Greening the Islands conference, due to be held on 2-3 December
For anyone committed to island sustainability or working to promote innovative, integrated solutions, Greening the Islands is a must-attend event and a unique opportunity to network with colleagues from our island-friendly community. As a travelling event, it’s success is based on bringing together people who are actively seeking and implementing solutions in locations that are on the front line of challenges we are all facing, from climate change to pollution and from tourism to migration.

The event will feature thematic sessions covering all aspects of island sustainability: energy, water, green mobility and waste. Our successful format allows for sharing of best practices and learning from innovative solutions already being implemented across the industry. But it is also an essential appointment for anyone wanting to get an update on legislative and regulatory frameworks, the approach of local and national governments as well as the contribution being made by the most important international institutions and sector associations.

Our traditional gala dinner will include the announcement of the 2nd Greening the Islands Awards.

Read about the successes of our previous international events at Pantelleria (2014) and Malta (2015).
