On Thursday 15 November, over 100 senior oil and gas officials from around the world toured the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center as part of the preparations for LNG2019. The Exhibitor Briefing brought together senior executives from international oil companies including Chevron, ExxonMobil, Anadarko and Tellurian with local exhibitors, including CNOOC, CNPC, China Gas, Towngas, Jiangnan Shipping Yard and Shenergy.
In opening remarks, Mr Wang Zhehong, Executive Chairman of the National Organising Committee and Deputy General Manager of Shenergy (Group) Co., Ltd was confident about the level of support for the event within China: “China’s three major oil companies will be on stage together for the first time in the LNG X event’s 50-year history. Shanghai Petroleum and Natural Gas Exchange Center, Hong Kong-China Gas, Beijing Gas and other well-known enterprises in the industry, as well as a wealth of professional manufacturers, will also participate in the 40,000sqm exhibition.”
