Renexpo Interhydro - Europe's meeting point for hydropower experts

28 gen 2022
On March 3rd and 4th, 2022, the Exhibition Center Salzburg will open the floodgates for a flood of technical expertise in the field of (small) hydropower with the Renexpo Interhydro

Representatives from business, politics, construction and engineering use the trade fair as a platform for an extensive exchange of experience within the industry. The focus is on current framework conditions, the latest developments, as well as the further expansion and promotion of Europe's sustainable energy source. Renexpo Interhydro presents itself as the perfect and, in terms of knowledge density and quality, the only place to expand professional networks and strengthen synergies. With the common goal of exploiting the existing potential in the field of hydropower to the maximum.

Clear the stage for clean energy

The center of events is the Hydro Forum. The name says it all: An interesting stage program with lectures and discussion rounds by and for people from the field lures over both days, which enables a broad discourse on a European level. Current legal and political circumstances, the role of hydropower in the energy transition, implemented projects, practical experience and new concepts are exchanged. Among others the Austrian Federal Minister for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology, Leonore Gewessler BA, and Dr. Andreas Lenz, Member of the German Bundestag and Chairman of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Sustainable Development invite to the opening. In addition to many others, the agenda also includes the names of the blackout expert and President of the Austrian Society for Crisis Prevention (GfKV), Herbert Saurugg, and Ing. Otto Mitterfelner, Chairman of the Bavarian Hydroelectric Power Plant Association (LVBW). In addition, exhibitors from the various departments provide an insight into their daily activities. Planning and construction, measurement, control and regulation technology, power plant types and water protection are just a few of the exhibition areas. The mix of theoretical and practical experience ensures a rousing fairway!

Make contacts and expand your network

Renexpo Interhydro offers a unique opportunity to exchange information on a technical level throughout Europe and to create valuable new business relationships. As part of the business matchmaking, the organization team provides a contact pool in which exhibitors and visitors can find each other, network and arrange an appointment for a personal meeting at the trade fair.

Even more depth at the congress

If you don't just want to swim on the surface, but want to dive completely into the depths of (small) hydropower, you are advised to buy a congress ticket. A professional congress program covering three main topics extends over both days of the fair, Thursday and Friday. "Hydropower & Sediments" is dedicated to the optimized economic, technical and ecological use of hydropower. The aim is to improve sediment management on waterways in order to extend the service life of different technical components of hydroelectric power plants. "Hydropower & Storage" deals with hydropower in the future energy system between sustainability, security of supply and innovation, while the "Water Ecology" area deals with the latest developments in monitoring.

Renexpo Interhydro leaves no one stranded and brings representatives from all areas on board, which is steering towards a common sustainable future for Europe!
