The impressive growth of CATRA in the recent years and the very nice collaboration with KEMIRA should go on, as both companies are complementary, CATRA focusing on servicing and KEMIRA on production, there is a particular good fit. Through the wider product line of AQUAPROX we should service our customers and CATRA customers even better in the future.
An integral trading partner to Kemira for water treatment chemicals in Italy, Catra Srl has been acquired by Aquaprox, a French family-owned company, effective June 30. With the acquisition of Catra, Aquaprox ownership is expecting increased market entrance also in Italy.
Kemira and Aquaprox leaders recently met in Kemira’s premises in San Giorgio, agreeing to continue what’s proved to be a successful business strategy in the past and continue to seek additional new market potential together.
"Kemira sees the acquisition of Catra by Aquaprox as a promising opportunity to expand our business and services in Italy," says Senior Vice President Kemira Municipal & Industrial Wido Waelput.
"The excellent team of engineers and technicians of Catra and Aquaprox combined with Kemira's complete range of water treatment chemicals and application know-how has shown to be a very effective combination."
Aquaprox specializes in water treatment, and offers solutions, equipment, engineering and formulations to industrial operators and municipalities. For example, the company plays a vital role in cooling water for air cooling towers, boiler steam and hot water, process water, and wastewater plant water.
